Midwest Charm

The Red Oak Valley story began, ironically, at a wedding.
Owners JohnPaul and Nancy Quick helped plan an incredible wedding for their son, and from then on, they knew building the perfect wedding venue from the ground up was their new passion.
Combining JohnPaul's architectural and construction genius, Nancy's interior design skills, and insights from various wedding professionals, they created Red Oak Valley's Red Barn and Estate Grounds, the first in their collection of breathtaking venues. Family-owned and operated, Red Oak Valley is nestled amid rolling hills and valleys, lush trees, and stunning landscapes that serve as picturesque and ambient backdrops to host the perfect wedding.

In general, we believe the average budget of a couple getting married at Red Oak Valley is between $15,000-$22,000 for all wedding expenses (venue, photographer, catering, florals, attire, etc.). We have had some couples with smaller guests lists host beautiful weddings in the $12,000 - $15,000 range by using off-peak times and doing DIY projects, and we have had several amazing events here spending significantly more than the average.
Yes. Initially we allowed outside catering. We quickly learned that outside catering did not fit into our strict service standards. Some caterers were amazing, but some were far below our service standards. We had issues with caterers showing up hours late and unprepared. We had caterers run out of food and drink. We had caterers show up with no serving staff and we had caterers not show up at all. Although we had some great experiences with caterers we had too many bad experiences to continue to allow it.
That said, we set out to offer the best value and taste possible with the catering we offer at Red Oak Valley. We are certain that you will absolutely love both the value and service we offer.
We offer tours by appointment only on Tues-Friday, and Sunday afternoons. You can request your tour here.

Most venues include or quote a service fee in their pricing. The service fee covers the cost of staff and labor for the day. However, a service fee is NOT the same as gratuity. A service fee covers the wages of laborers for the event as restaurant pricing covers a waiter’s wages. Any gratuity is typically additional.
